Group exhibition showcasing artworks with music-related themes, curated by Karin L. Willis and Teresa Christiansen of the Metropolitan Museum of Art."The works chosen for this show reflect a wide variety of subject matter from iconic images of famous musicians to the more abstract expression of music and the emotions it may evoke", said Willis. Added Christiansen, "these pieces range in mood from joyful celebrations to soulful and often very personal, introspective works." FASCINATION showcases 43 original works, including paintings in acrylics, oils and pastels, drawings, and black-and-white and digital photographs. Also on view are a hand-painted jacket depicting the Rolling Stones, and a mobile of multiple CDs bearing images of music personalities.
